Campus Ministry is a place to belong, be known, and be formed.

It’s a place to explore the big questions of life and to engage with the texts and traditions of the Christian faith whether it’s for the first time or the hundredth time. My experiences in Campus Ministry at Texas Lutheran University were absolutely crucial in my discernment and journey to seminary - and that’s because Campus Ministry is where the future leaders of the church are cultivated, nurtured, and prepared to say “YES” to God’s Call.

This discernment and formation happens in community, and Campus Ministry is a community, both on and off-campus.  It is an expression of - and testament to - the faithful ministry of congregations throughout the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod. Led by YOU, the people of God.

And not just the congregations near Texas A&M, TSU, UofH, Dillard, UNO, and Loyola...but ALL of you!

You send us your students, young and old who are eager to continue growing in the faith that you first shared with them. You share and send your time, talents, and tithes as an expression of God’s love, reminding us that it is God’s Work, Our Hands, that we are called to.

In turn, we as Campus Pastors and Ministers are able to care for and cultivate a meaningful community on each of our campuses. Offering not only opportunities for uniquely Lutheran worship, fellowship, and service, but also caring for the wider campus communities - showing up to do God’s Work and proclaim the Gospel in thought, word, and deed. Campus Ministry is a vital expression of the church and our work together as vessels of God’s grace and love.

Campus Ministry is not possible apart from you, our partners in ministry. This ministry that we are called to together impacts and changes lives through the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ which proclaims that ALL are beloved and cherished by God.

Campus Ministry is a place to belong, be known, be formed, and be loved. And love changes the world.
